The Coalition for Clinical Trials Awareness hosted the fifth annual Clinical Trials Awareness Week from May 13-17, 2019. CTAW 2019 activities included a Capitol Hill briefing, a Twitter townhall and the creation of educational materials to raise the public’s awareness of clinical trials participation and the costs that patients face.
Capitol Hill Panel
On Tuesday, May 14, CCTA hosted a panel that discussed financial and health care policies to raise awareness about support services to overcome financial barriers to clinical trial enrollment. Click below to read report.
Moderated by neurologist and clinical researcher David Charles, MD, of the Alliance for Patient Access, the panel featured the perspectives of a health care provider, cancer trials support service provider and health policy expert.
